That was one reason I started this thread and you make my point very well I think Chris. I have owned B&O products for the past 20 years and when I bought my first B&O TV, yes it was expensive compared to the others available, but it had a build feel, quality & design which made it in my opinion a worthwhile investment. BUT, it was about

I agree with some of the points you make Roger, but the car analogy doesn't quite stack up. I drive a Jaguar XJ6, which is now a number of years old. In style, ride and performance terms it is little different than the latest model, other than the body of the latest car being made of aluminum rather than steel, a slight re-style and the inclusion

This morning I was looking in to the window of a local TV shop here in Spain and side by side were two sets. One a 46" Leowe and the other a 46" Panasonic. Now whilst I concede the Leowe ,which was in white, looked a little more 'designer' to my eyes, it was €3000 more than the Panasonic. Standing there I tried to put myself into

avus17: Can somebody explain to me if I have a non HDTV set like the Avant (without HDMI input) can I somehow watch a HDTV content (of course not in HDTV quality) on this set? A HDTV signal comes from a set top box (this is how the provider is distributing a signal). I am asking this question because in the future there will be no other option as I

Looking at the Lintronic site, I agree they are very attractive, but what a dreadful installation for that ceiling light! Just for the photograph surely they could have omitted the cable and given

PhilLondon: OK... I have a SKY box and have no problem with it as the SKY box switches the format of the TV for me. Go to the menu of the SKY box and verify that is is on 16/9 and that it is set to send the mode through the scart. Verify that you have a fully cabled Scart cable, and that it is connected to the TV socket on the back of the sky box, not

PhilLondon: What source are you watching? Thanks for the responses. If I am watching during the day, I switch on to either Sky News or BBC News 24, both via Sky. In both cases and particularly with BBC the rolling news ticker-tape at the bottom of the screen are partly out of frame. Switching to Format 3 makes everything OK, but of course next time

Is there a way of setting the picture format of my Beovision 3 so that when the set is switched on it is in the format as it was when switched off? Currently, it always to defaults to Format 1 which is i think is the TV switching to the format it thinks is best for the picture being shown, however I would like it to return to my last setting before

augs: The iPhone/ Touch can be completely controlled with a Beo 4 / Beo 5. Furthermore, as i know this is just the beginnning. They have some really impressing other work in stock. I was'nt joking about the BeoCenter modifications... and also others will be done... Just tried to control my iPod Touch with my Beo4 and guess what? Nothing! Although
