I, too, was looking for the inevitable "minimum purchase requirement" (which from experience with other stores/offers usually turns offers like these into a 10% discount - $100 off on a purchase of $1000 or more... big deal!). However, I've gone over the mailer a couple times (even with my reading glasses on), and haven't located any

gorissek: But if any of you have any more suggestions, please, I'm all ears : ) PS. When I start it ( press GO ) it does that sound ( " audible feedback" as they call it ) and then starts to play a song and I find it really annoying. Should it just start playing a song right away when I press GO? Also when I turn it off, it does a similar

I'd stick with the mini-mac+beoport+masterlink. You already have the hardware (and I assume the ML wiring) so why not use it. There doesn't seem to be any good way to synch libraries between mutiple macs. I just copy music between libs. Kind of clunky, but it works. When I was distributing music via AE, it would often drop out when my wife talked

Btw, my firmware is 1.1.0.12 To format the card (from the manual): Format card:BeoSound 2 must be paused and the Earphones connected. Press and hold ∧ and >>. Then press GO twice. You will get audible feedback. When the audible feedback stops press and hold ∧ and >>. Then press GO twice again. You will get audible feedback again

I guess you've probably been down this path already, but my MacBook Pro (10.4, not Leopard) only sees the BS2 every other time I connect. When I put it on the base, and the base flashes green, then I remove and put it back on the base and it flashes red... then, I can see it in Finder, and if patient and lucky also in iTunes. I've had to re

Problem: I've been listening to my turntable through my BS1 in my office, but want to hear it in the other rooms, and with my better speakers... but I still want to hear it in my office, and, with today's tough economy, I don't want to buy any new components. I also have a BeoPort in the closet that I haven't setup since I moved... AirportExpress

A quick update... my applescript successfully retrieves the artist, album, genre and playlist for the unruly artists... must be something in the XML.. any hints? Stan

Anders, Thanks for the reply (thank for the software, too . This is useful information. So... I suppose the XML could be messed up or iTunes could be returning something weird when you ask it for the current artist... I think I may be able to cobble together an applescript to retrieve the name of the current artist and see if shows anything... otherwise

After a couple years in the closet following a move, I've finally got my BeoLink PC2 up and running again. Whoo-Hoo!!! I've noticed that the >> and << keys do not always work. Most of the time, they skip ahead/back to the next group as designed. However, for some areas within the iTunes library, the command is either ignored or triggers

I have finally obtained the correct cable, and it all works as expected (both channels, no mixing of ML audio). Thanks again Beoaus and everybody else that has contributed to this thread. San
