Q: The PC can not recognise the Beo5 when connected - what shall I do? A: Leave the charger plugged into the USB socket, remove the Beo5 from charger and turn the Beo5 off (press center button for at least 3 seconds). Then replace the Beo5 in charger, it will then power on and the PC should recognise it.

They are working on replacements for most of their current products - and in some cases they are even planning the replacement for products not yet released (like when they worked on the BL5, but still released the BL1 - a speaker that had a "rotating" microphone at one stage, which of course was removed from the final product). But the BV9

It was the AV1 they dropped (we belived it would be called BeoCenter 5 or BeoSound 5). The actual BeoSound 5 about to be released is a BeoMedia 1 that you can put on display (compared to the current one, not to be found in MoMA ). The new line of big-screen tv's could be a replacement for both the BV9 and the BV4 series... Roger

The chip (IC) thing is correct for the older tv's (Avant, BV3, BV5 etc) - the newer ones only require a laptop and access to the ML socket. Roger

Your dealer can upload the file from the service tool - the apple-tv file contains the necessary STB-C/PUC codes to control it. Roger

JohnJP: Thanks Roger, so would you be able to varify that with a type # 9021, that this is a D9 / "normal HD" monitor. Not "full HD"...? rgds John John, that piece of information is actually missing where I am at, but what I am able to pull up claims that this type no is the current one - and the current one is Full-HD. And to further

Sorry, John - my mistake. The following type numbers contain the D9 panel: 8954, 8955, 9020 - 9028. Roger
