I agree completely with Craig - what many people don't fully realise is that Martin sells these sets really as a service to Beoworld members & makes very little (if any) profit on them. The CDX & CD50 are both quite similar sounding with the CDX being my personal favourite of the 2. It is probably due to the 14 bit oversampling which gives it a less obviously digital sound posessed by most other CD players. Pretty much like playing a perfect vinyl record which is a real boon to old fogies like myself who were raised on this media
