Do you have the version where all four output stage transistors (plus a regulator) sits on one long plastic bar with threaded bushings ? That's the version using the uniquely countersunk BD697/698 transistors. If so, I may have found something in the dungeons. Martin

Check inside the power supply metal casing, it could be the regulator transistor has broken its solder joints. That's very common. Check also the small transformer in there, it will often losen from the board and its leads can break off. The green piece doesn't ring a bell here. Martin

Nigel, you have a PM. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! Check the platter belt. Any slippage here will cause wow. If the belt was never replaced, it will probably have hardened and stretched by now. Lift off the platter, put a finger on the motor pulley, acting as a (gentle) brake and rotate the platter with the other hand. The belt should bite the motor pulley fairly good rather than

The little dot next to the Beogram 3000 lettering is a lens. There is a small lamp underneath that lights up in orange color (neon) when the tonearm is moving at start/stop/lift. On the Beogram 3400 there's nothing under the lens. There may be something if the quad module is installed though, I never saw one with the module. Martin

Claes, du har en PM. Martin

Indeed ! At least on a few versions it reads Beomünster rather than Beromünster. I have looked at hundreds of these fine Beomasters but never saw that nice little detail. Great find ! Martin

The switch handle has a couple of small fins that break at the backside. You will be able to swap the broken handle with one of the remaining two and regain full functionality as they do not all grip their respective switches the same way. Yes, you will have to take the amplifier off the tower to fully release the frontpanel and access its innards.
