No it doesn't, but perhaps it explains you taste in amplifiers. It is a bit like speakers; what I like others may hate.

I agree too, though S75s are a little flabby in the bass department. However I do like them! I was less of a fan of S80s but to be fair, mine were free and improved once the next owner re-capped them. I think you have to go to BL9s and BL5s to really get the advantage of active speakers - you need decent sized bass drivers to get really good bass.

I am sorry but I really cannot understand how you can compare the 4400 and 6000. The 4400 is able to compared with the best of modern amplifiers. It has superb bass control and has almost no vices. I like my 6000 which is a super design and was way ahead of its time. But in circuit design it is a puffed up pair of 901s. The warmth is there but is due

It doesn't like the Beosound plug in but once this is removed, it seems to be fine. Mine is working perfectly.

My wife encouraged me - I did get to over 100 items but have got rid of almost all of it. I decided one day that I no longer needed them and others would be happier than me to own them. I kept the few bits I really wanted though.

Agreed - but there again, I preferred his beolab 9s as well!

If it works it would be criminal! The picture on these sets is fantastic. If the tube has gone, I suppose it would at least be being used!

I replaced mine with feet from maplins - quite a bit wider but seem even better for hum! You cannot see them in use.

The Beocord 1100 is pretty basic - the two very good cassette decks of this era are the 2200 and 5000 . The latter however cannot be described as reliable though. The 1900 and 2400 are also worth considering though a bit more modern looking.
