About 30W per channel. Not bad but a bit lacking in dynamics. I wouldn't use it for my main listening speakers. Fine for a link room. Consider another make maybe - Quad 405?

Does the Sky+ remote still work normally? If so, the problem is in the STB-C . It would seem implausible that both B&O remotes develop the same problem at the same time. If the Sky+ remote works normally, then the Sky+ is also exonerated. I suspect that something to do with the Beo5 has done something to the STB-C.

That really does mean HD DVD has died! Who here has bought an HD DVD player? I am pleased to say I have not. Still have the Betamax and V2000 players though!

That is the leaf spring. If it is not adjustable in the normal way, it has probably become bent. A small bend the other way will be fine! However remember that this will be 15 years old so be delicate! There should only be three in total.

I'll let you be the judge!

A man after my own heart! Yes, you need to remove the top. Actually very easy and there is even a prop inside to hold it up! However then you hit the problem of what to do next. Martin is referring to variable resistors but I strongly suggest getting someone with some electrical knowledge to do this - I would!

Don't blame you at all. One of the strengths of B&O is having a good dealer network and it would appear you have been let down in this regard. Take away a good dealer able to set up the product so it operates seamlessly, and you simply have overpriced electronics. I am buying second hand at present for similar reasons.

You are quite right! And it seems to be the same in whichever language! The full one is available on Beoworld for both 28" and 32" models along with the service manuals. All pages present! By joining as a silver or gold member, you help support the site.

Interestingly, the design of the 901 electrically is very similar to the quad 6000 except that the 6000 uses different transistors at the power output stage and has four discrete channels. So the design of the circuit is really rather good!
