  • Re: Video Master & Audio slave config

Only the video master. Option 0 switches off the IR eye.

I would look at the Panasonic plasma range. Bear in mind that the new BV4 has a few extras built in. The Panasonic will be cheaper!

Maybe a buyout by Beoworld!! I'll have a quick look down the back of the sofa and see what I have!

  • Re: Retro B and O

The Beomaster 2200 was a particularly fine receiver and will outperform most modern equipment - lots of power and smooth sounding. I agree with Graham that it is not worth a great deal second hand but for a vinyl fan, it is well worth keeping. Just as a matter of interest, does the Beomaster still have the user manual with it? This is one we are missing

Second hand B&O can be very cheap! I wouldn't bother with the Denon speakers - they seem to have had quite a hard life! I think you need to decide on an amplifier before you consider speakers as they rather rely on each other. Where are you based?

  • Re: Beomaster 4400

Alex: Ouch. Well, there's a few local(ish) engineers who could probably look at it. I assume that all the components which could have caused this issue are still available? Shouldn't be any problems there. Probably a nice simple electrolytic capacitor! Big advantage of older equipment - built almost completely at component level with very few

If the cartridge works OK, leave it. The 20S is the bottom of the range but is sturdy and possibly better wearing than some of the others. the black cartridge matches the arm nicely.

I couldn't agree more - one of the good guys and superb service. Just received a little package today myself!

Brings it all back! That was my first turntable! Not that common! Price depends a bit - did it come with a cartridge. The ideal beomaster would be either a Beomaster 1900 or a Beomaster 2200 - the latter being the better but not quite as flash! The 1902 is a very good sounding deck - I think the later radial decks went too far in the search for lightness

  • Re: AV9000 master link

Long SCART lead possibly? I must confess that I just bought a separate DVD player for my AV9000 and use a DVD-C to operate it. It also is a DVD recorder and Freeview box so I get a lot of extra functions.
