  • BeoSound 5 as audio master: has anybody tried this?

In the user guide, it says BeoSound 5 can act as an audio master, meaning there is no other BeoSound in the setup. Now I'm wondering, how will it interact with the video master? Other BeoSounds make it possible to select a video source via Beo4 and control functions with the BeoSound's panel/display, but how does it work with BS5? Do you see

  • Re: Why did the LC2 die?

Hi, indeed the LC2 was discontinued because of the Rohs regulation. I had 2 LC2s that I gave, now I have a Lutron Rania working with the Lintronic box, and another from Dinalight that works without converter; you can also buy Raone(search Innovus website) dimmers from Denmark, their design is very nice and the price per 3 units is unbeatable. Now I'm

  • Re: Beoplayer - terrible

I'm surprised, because I use BeoPort everyday, and can't live without it, in fact I installed it on all the PCs I know, I find Windows Media Player full of nothing , and deleted Itunes after the first installation..For me they do too many things already! Of course, things are still to be improved, the free BeoPlayer version has so few radio

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 with Blueray

Obviously, with the latest BV7-40, with Blue-Ray, the TV comes with an Ethernet connection, so video streaming is not far.. Going back to the topic, even if BC2 doesn't come out with a new Blue-Ray drive, why on earth is B&O not fitting the socket unit with an HDMI output instead of that pre-historical SCART socket?? All BeoVisions sold today

  • Re: what do users want from future Products?

    - products that all speak the same language (whether in terms of interconnection, remote control use, and audio-video file formats) - 2-way communication between connected products (if not through remote controls) - BeoLink Wireless transmitters in all audio+video masters, receivers in all BeoLabs. - flat BeoLab speakers to wall-mount on each side of

  • Re: Beosound 5 to Beosound 6 copying of CD's

Talking about BeoSound 6, you should remember that it can't playback lossles files anyway! The max bitrate is 320 kbps in WMA, only the Serenata can play lossless audio, and BeoSound 2 plays 192 kbps max, and as for BeoSound 3...I don't remember! It would have been so great to have all music systems play the same rates, because once you've

  • Re: beoport without an audio master

Yes, you can use BeoPort without any audio master, I've been doing that for 4 years. If you have no other B&O master (= video master, for instance), you simply set the BeoPort to option 2, plug the infra-red eye in the box & use your Beo4 for NMUSIC, NRADIO and CD. You can link the BeoPort to another room, I've had a BeoLab 2000 working

  • Re: Seriniti ... ? A new mobile phone

I don't know if B&O will launch a new GSM phone, given the last financial report, however I do remember that when the Serenata was launched, B&O said they were working on the ultimate multimedia cellphone and even made a poll among the website registered members, asking what they would expect from such a product, and of course I even remember

  • Re: BV7-40 MKIV specs?

B&O has just announced the BV7-40 Blu-Ray on its website: " The impressive BeoVision 7-40 LCD TV from Bang & Olufsen is now updated with an integrated Blu-ray player, 100 Hz picture technology and a DVB-HD module, thereby enhancing the extreme flexibility of this TV concept. " More details under the news section there..
