Hi Geoff Now that you mention it the flexible connector that you are talking about didn't look too good. I noticed that it looked like some had detached. I'm sure that is the problem. I don't think I will be able to do the repair myself. I will have to get someone to help otherwise have B&O repair it. Its no rush really as I can still

I have a BM5000 which works perfectly except that the hidden control panel on front won't open. I took the lid off the Bm and got the panel open but none of the controls work either. Looks like there is no power to the panel. Its not a big problem because everything works using the MCP. There seems to be some sort of coiled relay (not sure thats

Thanks Ben for your reply!!

I have just purchased a Beosystem 5000 which arrives tomorrow!! (Not that I'm not drowning in B&O already!) The MCP apparently has a small chip in the glass. I was wonder if the glass panels are still available or will I have to buy a donor MCP or just live with it. The price was too good to refuse. Is the glass printed on underneath or is it

You will see a small hole on the front of the BM, just under the glass. Insert a Paper clip (many uses obviously lol!!) or something similar in the hole which will push a clip down. With the paper clip still in the hole slide the glass to the left. It will the only slide a certain amount, it won't slide the whole way out. You can then lift the whole

It could be that the sensor has moved and is no longer on the conductive square underneath the glass that makes the connection between your finger and the sensor. The sensor looks like a bendable piece of rubber, infact they are not meant to stand up straight but actually at an angle. You would have to slide out the glass panel and put it back in again

What happens to Martin now!!

Thanks Marc!! It did seem like I was never going to finish but I'm very proud that I managed! I can now add it to my B&O collection with pride!

Well I have changed all the capacitors on the BM 2400-2. The terrible hum has gone and the volume seems to be acting normal. I thought I was never going to finish!! I hooked it up to a pair of S75's but it doesn''t seem to be able to produce the sound like the BM 4400 I have usually hooked up to the S75's. I think maybe I should try

There is one of the BM1900 that I would really like to get going as its a white one. It blows one of the main fuses after a while. The volume goes a bit erratic after a while also..goes up and down on its own and the the two green arrows around the stand by light shine on dimly no matter what function is selected. The BG4002 i'm not too stressed
