You can reset the counters, but this invovles getting your hands dirty and having access to a service suitcase: If you replace the chassis the counters will restart. In some rare cases some counters remain at zero. But, in general, you can trust the counters to be correct. Remember that you have to watch or listen for 24 hrs for a counter to show 1

All you need is a service tool - and, of course, a PC. No dealer needed as the SW is pretty straight forward. The tricky part is to get an updated PC incl the service tool without involving a dealer... Roger

Q: My Beo5 works great, but I can not get it to operate my VCR. Why? A: There was an error in the setup program for the IR-codes. V TAPE reads "V-TAPE", but it should read "V_TAPE" in the IR-table. You and your dealer should locate this IR-code in the setup program and correct it to "V_TAPE".

Q: I have charged the Beo5 over night, but it only lasts a few minutes. What is wrong? A: Your Beo5 needs an SW update. Until this is carried out, do the folowing: Place the Beo5 in the charger and press the center button for at least 3 seconds to power it down. The display should read "charging". Leave it there for 4-5 hours.
