• Re: What a plonker!
What worries me is that he got an MMC4000 to work in a Beogram 1800. As far as I know, there were two 1800s, one takes the SP type cartridge and the other the MMC1-5. How did he get an 1800 to play with it?
Brilliant, this guy's obviously a genius. I didn't even read that far Peter, which is probably
Hi, I suppose you did plug them to the wall and feed them with 240 V then? Jacques
I haven't even SEEN them yet but judging by the positive responses so far I'll get them round to my gaff & see where we go from there. Thanks for the replies so far, it seems like they are worth saving. A quick google

  • NON B&O speaker question

My neighbours sister has a pair of Quad electrostatic speakers which have been in storage & no longer produce any sound. I have no experience whatsoever with this speaker design & you guys are the people I know who may have some advice. I haven't seen them yet but thought I'd ask here first before inviting them into my home. Is it worth
And Burantek (aka Jaff) !! - Well done, you really make me laugh with your posts - a thoroughly decent chap with a cracking sense of humour, and clearly highly regarded by the BeoWorld Membership.
Can we make Jaff a honorary Englisman? he definately shares or sense of humour, he cracks me up Congratulations to

I saw these and aren't convinced they are genuine B&O stands as-is. They do look the part though & may have been assembled from some trumpet satnds with a different top plate. It wouldn't be the first time I've been proved wrong though & may have been produced for, say the Beovox 3702/4702's or similar as these speaker types

  • Re: Problem buyers

I've a sneaky feeling this is the same Italian ebayer who has given grief to Beoworlders in the past & has since changed his name. Anyway, you can BLOCK BIDDERS from your auctions. If you haven't already done so then you need to open a non-paying bidder dispute . If you don't then there is no way you will get your fees back. Even if

Lubrication points on the tonearm drop mechanism. You will need to clean off any dried residual grease & gunge before lubricating - they can be pretty solidly stuck & take a bit of application to get then apart, use sewing machine oil or silicon based lubricants. WD40 & similar products are OK to use only for freeing off the parts but NOT
