[quote user="Stars"] Lee, you have placed the sound in between BL6000 and BL8000, but how does it really compare with a BeoSound 1 (or even BeoSound Century) ... a much more attractive product too in my opinion? And in response to your question about alternative designs ... I was convinced (and hoping) BeoLab 11 was B&O's first iPod

The BeoVision 3 was a 'budget' (and i use that term loosely!) version of the BeoVision Avant. Same tube and chassis, but without the big speakers/ inbuilt DVD/VCR/ rotating stand. Bass drivers bigger than BeoLab 4000 - probably a similar size to BeoLab 3 drivers from memory (i'm at home now staring at my BeoLab 3's...) That tweeter must be a new one, unique to the BeoSound

Inside of the rear cover. Note the 'service' connector..

The connections at the rear... You need to remove the plastic cover to get to them of course - they aren't on display.

'arty close-up' - total amateur, admitted..

'Rear of the Year' ? Probably not. Doesn't look that bad though...
