You need a pre-amp output and it seems your TV just has Line out. Best is to buy a Preamp (would fit into your budget) and connect the speakers there.

Hi Geoff, Understood (hopefully): BEO5 needed to use AST. Presets can be configured in BEO5 and need to be selected when moving in hte room. Just for BS3 based TVs. Wenn ich es richtig verstehe kann ich damit bei Audio und Video verschiedene Hörpüositionen eingeben, oder? Folgende Ideen: Schalte die automatische Lautstärkeanpassung bei iTunes mal aus Achte drauf, dass iTundes keinen Equalizer nutzt. externer DAC soll viel bringen, ich konnte das bisher nicht so richtig raushören - mangels Zeit habe ich aber auch noch keinen richtig guten Test gemacht.

Keep the BL3. Sound great, imho much clearer than the BL4000.
