Hi Leon. I have Pentas and an Avant but my rears are 8000s. As some other git won the BS4 I am using a 7000 system for audio. I really would like a BS4 but would hate to part company with my trusty Beosystem 7000 which I have had since 1993! I was wondering, Do you get full display on your Pentas ie NMUSIC and NRADIO? Is the display on the 5000s the

His name is Gert Munch, pronounced Gird Monk and I just had to shake his hand and give him a resounding THANK YOU! Now we know he didn't design the Pentas as we all know this was down to Lone and Gideon Lindinger-Loewy, so I guess that he was involved in the fine tuning and positioning of the drivers and amplifyers etc Just behind him is a hatchway

Just round the back of the cube was a small room where the sound technicians worked. On our way round there, I asked the sound guy who had demonstrated the Beolab 9s to us had he worked on the Pentas. "No" he replied "This is the man who made the Pentas!"

We then briefly looked from a viewing platform into "The Cube". Like an absolute numpty, I took a photo with the flash but, as the walls and floor were that far away there wasn't time for the flash to reflect back into the open shutter and so I ended up with an almost black picture. I'll post it anyway for the sake of the handsome

Once the curtains were pulled back I was a bit suprised to see Beolab 9s. I should have guessed really as I had heard them once before on launch day in my local dealers. I had forgot how good the acoustic lens was at throwing the sound up into the room. Once again, even the bookshelf is there for a reason, some of the books are actually dummies.

Thanks for that, Andy. From the viewing room we moved on into the listening room. This room was quite small, about the size of my lounge. Across the front of the room were some large curtains hiding speakers we couldn't see. These curtains were made from Penta fret fabric so they were acousticaly transparent.
