Thanks Peter, but was this a part of B&O 'policy' or just down to the whim of particular dealer? Also, what about equipment that couldn't be offered for sale in the shop (too old perhaps) would they just dispose of it privately (as the customer could have done) and pocket the profit as a sort of perk of the job?

A few years back on a couple of occasions I part exchanged some equipment with my local dealer for new. As I only did this with the same dealership, can someone tell me if a p/x option was/is B&O policy or at the discretion of individual dealerships? Also, does it apply worldwide or again does it just depend on the dealer?

evman140: Interesting. At any rate there is an RCA output that I believe says "digital output" above it. I am not near it now so that may be slightly incorrect. Yes you're correct, my memory was playing tricks. It did say digital output above the socket, not optical. Didn't change the result that it was useless though! A bit disappointing

I suggest you think in charitable terms of those less fortunate who cannot consider any B&O purchases whatsoever at this time. Don't be selfish. Send your money to ME!!

Compostela: Watched the film 'Copycat' the other night and got very excited when the camera panned in on a B&O Ouverture in Sigourney Weaver's appartment. Not sure how much B&O features in other films but it's surely a worrying sign when you get excited about such scenes! Anyone else similarly afflicted?! Sadly so. Watched National

Just one thing to add regarding Beo4 commands, many of you (if not all) may be aware that keeping 'GO' depressed for a couple of seconds switches the Sky+ box to play the last watched recorded programme from the last point watched, all without going through the planner.

The_Beonic_Man: Have you got children? Spoil them, let them know how special they are. Christmas is all about the kids. They are our future. Praise them, encourage them and love them unconditionally. Well, that's my Christmas wish to you all anyway. Have a good few days everyone and the very best for a happy and healthy new year. All the best, Simon
