• Re: BM-link and Itunes problem

I was able to upgrade iTunes to 8.0.2 without a problem so maybe Leopard isn't the issue (see my post above for versions). I did have to reboot (after the upgrade reboot - I upgraded QuickTime and a security update which both required a reboot. That is, reboot by system update, then reboot manually), and then restart BM-Link via system preferences

  • Re: Job Vacancy with B&O Dealer - London

Wow, this thread certainly demonstrates the wildly different ways in which people express their passion for B&O. For me, I don't take it personally when someone makes broad brush statements. Stan

  • Re: BM-link and Itunes problem

Emil, I run OSX 10.4, BM-Link 1.50.1 and iTunes 7.6.2 on a rather old G4 Mac Mini. I have been thinking of upgrading iTunes to play with the "Genius" feature, but have not because of fear of what you have run into. I may have some time to mess with this tomorrow. I will let you know if I run into this same error. On the other hand, I do have

  • Re: BeoVision 8 - 40 prelaunch

Trip, Ok, maybe you're hooking me... I haven't really followed pricing on BVs. Are you saying that BV7 + buying a new set of BL4000s is slightly more than a BV10, or the discounted BV7 mkIII (using the BL4000s I already own) is slightly more than a BV10. Also, is there a simple stand for placing the BV7 in a cabinet (not motorized and no center

  • Re: BeoVision 8 - 40 prelaunch

Thanks for the info and advice Trip. Unfortunately, while I can appreciate the "deal", the BV7 is much more than I want/need (and I still need to buy a center speaker, right? What if I only hook up a pair of BL4000s - is there a sound setting for this?). I really want a TV with built-in speakers, and I have no need for surround sound (my room

  • Re: BeoVision 8 - 40 prelaunch

Does anybody know if this will be offered in the US? My dealer insists it will not, but I think he just wants me to buy something now vs. later. Stan

  • Re: Beosound 1 - Funny noises

Mine cracks sometimes after I turn it off after I've been playing it for a while. I have always assumed it is some parts contracting (after having expanded from the heat generated by the unit) similar to what a car does after you turn it off. It is sometimes quite loud, but it has never really bothered me. I can understand a service department having

  • Re: Blame on BeoLab 2

I always thought my BeoLab 2 (added to my BL8000) was one of my best price/performance B&O purchases. If you spend some time with placement and switch configuration, it can be very musical. Mine is not boomy nor "slow" (to my ears, of course). In fact, some visitors have remarked that they do not hear it (I suppose they expect subs to

  • Re: N.music - N.radio - beoport

I'm quite sure that BeoPlayer doesn't provide a display capability... at least it did not provide this a few years ago when I used it - before BM-Link came along. It is not a BS 9000 vs 3000 issue. It is BeoPlayer vs. BM-Link. On the other hand, with BeoPlayer, you can play link sources through your BeoPort (i.e. listen to the BS 9000's

  • Re: N.music - N.radio - beoport

When using BS9000 with BeoPort will N-Music title etc also be displayed?
The Beosound 9000 does not display the N-Music titles, just the word N.MUSIC
If you use BM-Link on an Apple computer, the title, artist, genre and playlist can be displayed. With BeoPlayer
