  • Re: Beomaster 901 maintenance

Dillen: The spring sits inside the nylon wheel at the potentiometer. Indeed, I almost forgot it. I'll get that fixed next time I take a look on that. I might have some other string that might do the trick (flexible enough) so I'll try them first. The difficult part will be getting it in but that will only need a bit of creativity, I guess.

Glad it was. I have been re-arranging my room for about 5 hours and there is a lot of stuff to move from one place to another... some radios, even more tape recorders and few computers.... :) There is no hum or anything like that with speakers (or at least is not audible). And the problem was the same already with my earlier gotten Beocenter 1400 (which

    1. Is there some standard for these or how is the replacement to be the same length? Or is it the same if I make a replacement out of some string? 2. Good. I'll take a look on that next week when I got time for it. I'll PM you in case the old one is impossible to get properly to place. 3 and 4 I guess I can figure out myself now, thanks. 5.

  • Beomaster 901 maintenance

This week was a success, I got a Beomaster 901 and 3000 for just 40 euros. Both were desribed as non-working but actually they both work. (The 3000's front panel switches needed to be cleaned as there was a lot of troubles getting both channel output when switching between programme sources. Now it's working like new. ) The Beomaster 901 has

Die_Bogener: Shall i make a workshop how to repair and improve this recorder? That would be great! I suppose it would be very useful and it seems that many people still have these machines around and (like me) they would like to get it working. Picture-by-picture repair guide with instructions and tips would be really awesome!

Very interesting info in here! The pictures help a lot. I might even get so excited that I start working again with the two non-working VX5000's I have... :) Other one works that much that it plays (thrue headphone socket) but no picture, black screen with random white horizontal lines... Other has a cracked board with causes the tuner to forget

  • Re: Best B&O cassette deck?

Peter: I would avoid the Beocord 5000 70s model as it is likely not to work. Indeed! I have the older Beocord 5000 which I was able to get to work by combining two non-working 5000's. Currently it's playing fine, but recording won't work (I might get back to this later this year). It's very good-looking deck with wooden panels and electronical

  • Re: Amplifier and speaker power - 20w VS. 75w

So it was as I thought... thanks a lot! I just wanted to be sure, otherwise I would have been too nervous about it.. The setup is in a small room that there won't be need to got that much sound. And yes, most likely I would hear the distortion before anything would blow up. The S75 speakers are really good, I got mine for about 40 euros some half

  • Amplifier and speaker power - 20w VS. 75w

I have a Beocenter 1400 with Beovox S75 spekers. The amplifier is rated 2 x 20 watts RMS or 80 watts total music and the spekers are designed to handle up to 75 watts RMS. Other techincal details can be found: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=385 http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=671 Is this combination Ok? I have read that speaker
