They are the preset radio channels. When you press the dials , they come up and there is a geared wheel that when turned allows you to change the frequencies. These are actually the best pre-set design from this era as being geared they allow very fine tuning. To select the programme, press the button on the front panel.

I suppose you need to eliminate any part of the 9300. Try playing the Beogram through the Aux/TV socket - you will probably need to unscrew the 2 extra pins in the 7 pin DIN plug or it will get confused! If you still have the distortion, it is the Beogram. There is an RIAA amplifier in the 4500 and it could be possible that this is malfunctioning giving

I use Beolab 3s with my PowerMac G5 twin 2.0 admittedly via Beoport and am very happy with the sound. I imagine the sound card is rather better in the Powermac than the notebooks mentioned though obviously Soundproofs solution is the audiophile one.

Minimal difference - I had the surrounds on my MS150s replaced with rubber and then had them tested - frequency response as flat as a pancake!

Very nice radial deck, the RX2. Have undone the transit screws completely? Is the platter level or is it a it low? The leaf springs may have sunk a little but you can adjust these. Also check that the platter is centred. It is a belt drive deck and this may need replacing as Puncher suggests.

I usually scan as pdfs myself but can work with almost anything! If gifs are better, happy to get those!
