  • Re: Re Avant DVD

Is it connected to anything else? Have you done a hard reset? - unplug and leave for 5 minutes and then restart- you will need the PIN. Might be a minor component failure so probably time for a service.

  • Re: my Beo5 arrived and now I also need help programming it properly

I am sorry - I didn't see your original post. There is a new version of the software due out any time which is more stable. Have you explored the help files - I find them very helpful and also have a look at Keith's files which are very informative. One reason you will get few answers is that not that many people are programming the Beo5 themselves

  • Re: Purchase BeoCenter 2200

The Beocenter 2200 is not remote control at all.

The amplifier is not a B&O design really and has a built in loudness function which means the sound is a bit bass heavy. It is not made using the same standard of materials and parts are tricky to find. It looks nice though! Sounds a bit expensive if not fully working.

I think that is quite expensive! If it has a good stylus, possibly but it would have to be perfect! A Beocenter 7000/7002/7007/7700 should be less than $200.

  • Re: Purchase BeoCenter 2200

I wouldn't recommend the 2200 really. It is not remote control and is in fact a Japanese music centre. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere - Think about a Beocenter 9500 if can afford one, or maybe something like a Beocenter 7700 if you cannot. Both of these are far superior to the 2200. The Beovox X25 is not a speaker I would really recommend

  • Re: Avant without Dolby connected to BeoLab 6000s

I would go for the newest you can. Big advantages - mine has DTS included and can, if I want, accept the DTB-S card - I don't want, as it is £300,and would get in the way of my Sky+ box, but that is not the point!!

  • Re: Ideas for a new product

I know we have had this discussion before, but I do wonder if B&O couldn't produce more in the way of interface items. I don't want them to produce computers but make the LCD screens more friendly to computer integration and maybe some type of keyboard/remote combined. The body of the computer can be third party but the actual interface

  • Re: beocord 2000

Not really but they can be serviced as they are made at a component level. Tim Jarman at Beocentral is a bit of a whizz at fixing these. He can be reached at www.Beocentral.com . Highly recommended.

  • Re: CX 100 center speaker mounting....HELP !!

The backs are quite tough - the standard wall 'bracket' attaches to it.
