  • Remote? Lights?

On my remote there is a "lights" button, did/does B&O make household lighting that can be controlled with the remote. If so I have to get some. Are they readily available? Thanks Graham

  • How to preset the stand on a 94 Avant

Hi: I have just got my avant but no manual (will become a gold member when I have some cash). Can anyone tell me how to set it so that it turns to where I want it and returns flush to the wall when off instead of turning further right when off. Thanks Graham

  • Re: Avant 28 VTR smoking

Hi: I was thinking of doing the same with my avant. Will the BeoMedia just slot in or will I have to chop the case about?

  • Re: What do I do when my avant (tube) goes wrong?

I meant "correctly", I am not Jonathan Ross. The TV was about 21" perhaps.

  • Re: What do I do when my avant (tube) goes wrong?

This is going back to when I was about ten. Apparently they did and I remember him having a b&o in his workshop pre avant but post wood paneling, this would have been around 1990. It looked more like a standard TV, square rather than rectangular. Well that is if my memory serves me coeewctly.

  • What do I do when my avant (tube) goes wrong?

Hi Someone in an earlier post said that if a tube in early avant breaks, it is not economical to repair. However, my uncle is a TV repair man who has worked on b&o when sold in Rumbalows. Thus, roughly how much would a tube cost and can I get from anywhere other than b&o. Would it still be an expensive job? Thanks Graham

  • Bosse or Overture?

Hi I am aware that I may have spelt both of those wrongly. My mother-in-law has seen one of those Bosse systems (the small ones that sit on a shelf which the manufacturers claim to fill the room with sound. As a new adopter to all things B&O I would tell her to spend her money on a B&O system. However I have never used a Bosse so it would be

  • What exactly is a Beolink

Hi: Sorry for my ignorance but what is a Beolink? I asume that it is a cable which enables one to link their different b&o systems together. However, I have heard that this enables multi room sound systems. I cannot envisage this without bumerous cables trailing all over the place and how would you control say the track change on an Oveture situated

  • Beovision (1994) NTSC/PAL switchable?

Hi: Firstly, many thanks to everyone who has offered me help and advice so quickly regarding the TV above, I am a very recent member of the forum and am very happy with the "community" feel of it all. It is good to know that the forum is not like an elitist club, which I am afraid, cannot be said of purveyors of this equipment on the High

  • Beo sound

I am a b&o buyer on a budget of about £500-£1000 (preowned). I have a 94 avant and now want a sound system. In terms of sound quality (I listen to Jazz, D&B and hefty classics) what should I buy - a b&o stack, an Oveture or one of the table top long rectangular systems (sorry, I do not know the correct name). Am attracted to
