Surprised the Sky+ box isn't in your list. Used by millions in the UK (& mainland Europe!). Have you considered this? Also Freesat is new on the market. Same satellite, different receiver box.

I replaced mine some years ago with ribbon of the same width and (almost) identical colour. They've lasted longer than the originals did!

When I had an LX 5500 and a V8000 I used to control both with my Beolink 1000.

jk1002: The BS2 is sold here for 300US$ with the A8s, it came down significantly. If you love it, buy another one before they disapear, their days are certainly counted. I have an Itouch, be warned, the sound is crap. I would consider it for movies though. Since the BS2 will at somepoint soon disappear, I would get that first and then later aybe an

Thanks David, much obliged. I now live in Spain but remember the new Manchester store opening just before I left. Also the B&O section of Kendals store. Many an hour spent drooling!
