Do you have more phones than the BeoCom 5 connected to your BeoLine? It could also be the BeoLine that looses connection.

Behind the lid there is a spring to open it. After the repair don't mount this spring anymore. This will prevent the problem happening again, and without the spring the lid opens without any problem.

How far is the BeoCom 5 from the base when it happens? Does it always happen at the same place in your home?

The MX4002 does not have the TORX screws to hold the screen, this is the case in MX6000 and MX7000. To remove the screen, you have to remove the backcover and remove one of the plastic side panels. Volgens mij zit er in de recorder aan de rechter bovenkant een microswitch (frontpaneel verwijderen). Deze wordt ingeschakeld als de keuzehandel van de BeoCord op spoelen wordt gezet. De schakelaar geeft de motoe extra power voor het spoelen. Deze schakelaar wil nog wel eens ingebrand zijn als de BeoCord op leeftijd is, met als gevolg het niet goed

Well, there are more things they have in common. They are both active speakers and they are both made by Bang & Olufsen. You should just compare them at home in your own livingroom with your own music, and it will all be clear!

Just a tip, you can also use the potentiometer of a BeoMaster 2200/BeoCenter 3300/4000!

Connect a headphone to the Ouverture and test if the problem is the same over the headphone. If yes, the problem is probably in the Ouverture. If not, it could be cables or the Penta. What type is the Penta (6601, 6621 or 6631)?

I would replace all capacitors in BeoLink 7000. In most cases the other capacitors are also leaking and it is just a matter of time until you have to open the BeoLink 7000 again.
