  • Re: Independence.

Actually Beoworld runs at a loss. The subscriptions come nowhere near to covering the cost of running the site and it is only the small amount of advertising on the main site that makes us come close to solvency. No-one at Beoworld draws any money from the site - all the moderators are unpaid and always have been. The only person who has ever made any

Actually you don't seem to voice any of my thoughts at all. I personally find there is a big difference between honesty and rudeness. Clearly the line between them is something we all must find and decide. I am sorry that you have decided to leave Beoworld and hope that you have benefitted from some of the advice you have sought. This is essentially

I have deleted the last couple of posts on this thread. This site is on the whole frequented by intelligent and generous individuals. I can understand strong emotions can be stirred by certain posts but please do not rise to these and post gratuitous insults.

  • Re: DIN plug wiring for 4000

Pin 3 = Left Pin 5 = Right Pin 2 = Ground Remember that you also need an earth from the casing of the DIN plug as this grounds the chassis. Without it you will get hum.

I would doubt it is the deck but more likely to be the cartridges. I would certainly check the tracking weight and would make sure the styluses are clean. How old are your cartridges and which sort are they?

  • Re: MX7000 + other devices: how best to connect?

You need one of these ! I use one with my AV9000 which is essentially an MX! Not very expensive and gives you an extra 2 ports. The STB will work fine but you will need to use the original controller unless you can find an STB-C. If you can, then it works despite the AV2 expander. I have a Sky box, a DVD/HDD/Freeview device and a Wii attached to the

I must confess that I agree with Chris. I feel insulted by these insinuations. I have not received any jollies from B&O and have sponsored this site for some considerable time and continue to do so, all be it at a much lesser level than Lee now does. I am not and do not wish to be a dealer and sell no equipment on eBay. As a number of you know,

  • Re: Which Beosystem?

The 7000 is obviously the newest and has the advantage that it will work with the newer TV easily in a combined system. It and the 6500 have Powerlink sockets that allow the use of the Beolab speakers. The 5500 is a good all rounder and will be cheap. The CD5500 is probably the best of the CD players. The 5000 uses unique remote controls and this is

  • Re: Ouverture linking to MC/MCL issues - please help!

Powerlink sockets actually carry all the information for both left and right speakers so you only need use one and you can then daisy chain the speakers. This is why there is a left and right switch on the speakers. Very annoying to get the wrong cables I agree.

  • Re: need help with optioning

Will that work? Doesn't that mean that you have two video masters - BV3 and BC1? I think we have decide what you want to play in which rooms. I would be tempted to have one room as the master and have the Sky+ in that room so that it can be used elsewhere. You also obviously want the BS9000 accessible everywhere so this has to be an audio master
