  • Re: Blue-sky idea... CD for Beosystem 8000/6000?

Not completely sure this has not been done. Certainly been put forward before. There are lots of BC8000s going for nothing so not an expensive project. Doing it well is the challenge. I would suggest that it would need to think it was a tape player so that Datalink would work and it might be easier to go for a front loading slot somewhere (less cosmetics

  • Re: Which is the BEST Beogram?

I have almost all the Beograms and the 4000 is my favourite B&O deck. It is beautifully built - the reason it doesn't travel well is that if any of it gets loose, the parts weigh so much that they will destroy anything in its path! Proper packing is essential. Actually I do just what you do - Beogram 4000 for best and 4004 for everyday! The

  • Re: STB-C and LX

Are you sure about this? My understanding was that the STB-C would only fit the MX Beo4 models and not those models using the 3XXX type numbers. The LX was similar to those early MXs and was also not able to use the STB-C. If you know differently, that is most interesting - although getting hold of the STB-C will be tricky!

  • Re: master 8000

Very nice receiver but if it hasn't had the capacitors replaced, it is worth doing that. Lots and lots of the leaky red ones in there!

The pin is plus and the blade is negative.

  • Re: Is the Beosound 1 from Bang & Olufsen worth the money?

I auditioned both the BS1 and a Century when new. I preferred the Century and bought one. The BS1 is very good but it has no tone controls and the bass seemed to be lacking compared to the Century, despite the technical specs which would suggest otherwise. I have to confess that it they made a link version of the BS1, I would buy one immediately though

  • Re: STB-C and LX

Only if the STB-C is in another TV! I can use the STB-C of my Avant via my LX6000 which is linked to the Avant. I can control my Sky+ completely via this method. There is no STB-C for the LX range unfortunately. The other solution would be a Lintronic box.

  • Re: Connection challenge Beosystem 7000!!!

I take it that you are using a 5 pin to 5 pin DIN lead between the Tape 2 of the 7000 and the Aux of the BS9000? Very strange! I use the Tape 2 as an output on my 5500 constantly!

  • Re: Tech help req:- Beovision 1 LS & Beo1

I think you are rapidly discovering that the Beo1's primary use is that of a paperweight! I can't understand why it isn't working as you seem to have done everything sensible!

  • Re: Connection challenge Beosystem 7000!!!

This does seem frightfully complicated but I wonder if AV A,Aux might be what is required. I confess to never having tried this but logically that should select the Aux socket on the BS9000.
