That seems to be correct. They now just have a power indicator - it is no longer a button.

Just had a look at the service manual for the Pentas - which type are yours? I guess mk1. Having looked at the manual, I doubt it is easily repairable. Ridax does make some displays that fit and indeed give even more information. They are not available new I am afraid. The CX parts are though and not expensive - your dealer should be able to help.

I have done a bit of pruning of this thread as things were said which I think were uncalled for. This is a friendly and helpful information site and members happily provide each other with information because they want to. There is no coercion to do so. Please avoid flaming here. If anyone has a problem with another poster, don't post abuse back

Good question!! I would guess video! Not mentioned in the manual!

They are superb small speakers and , yes, I can listen to them for hours - I am as I type!! Mine are in a room about 15 foot square but I use them as monitors on either side of my computer screen. When I first used them, they sounded a little odd - the treble and bass seemed disjointed and they seemed bright. However after a couple of days, this has

They are very accurate speakers - the top end is far superior to Pentas . They lack the warmth of the Pentas as the frequency response lacks the artificial bulge seen in both the Penta and indeed the 5000 which make these speakers less tiring to listen to. I think 1s are actually very much maligned and if they were not so tall, I would consider a pair
