Hi Geoff, thanks for the interest. TBH I have found just the opposite! Most modern equivalents are actually quite a bit smaller! I will be choosing at least 80V electros for the main amp PSU. That looks like the clutch for takeup, ff and RW, there should be a rubber idler on the other end so have a look down the hole you just pulled it out of! I think to remove this you should remove the whole assembly it is mounted too!
