Hi, Would love to see pictures of your 'Penta White" project. Real speaker cloth is not that difficult to find, though the colours are quite limited. DIY speaker builders shops often carry it. (try online?) I have also been looking for metal grills to use as frets (think beosound1 or 3), but so far haven't found anything suitable yet. I

  • Re: refoaming cx 50s.....

Hi Brian, Glad you like the polished CX's. Anyways, I am in Montreal so not that far up North anyways and only a couple of hours from NY. I have been planning to do these for the last 2 months or so but just never found time for it. Under the (anodized?) black finish is just plain metal. If you have previously painted ones, give them a quick sanding
Wow!!!! Love the finish you've achieved You could almost set up a business doing up CX's!! They look better than the originals!

After that we cleaned them and did a clearcoat on it to protect the finish which is baked under UVds ( the lines on the sides were put back on later and are handapplied with a matt lacquer) I am very pleased with the result and they look amazing .... glad you liked it
Very good

Well I did bite the bullit and decided to repolish them. Though I did get some more info from a friend who knows a lot more about this kind thing as he runs a car body shop and restores old chevvy's as a hobby. Anyways he told me that my cx100 are not anodized, just lacquered

  • Re: Blu Ray - the future?

blu ray is here to stay in my opinion. Players are cheap now and you easily find them for 200$cad or less even and all new movies are available on blu ray. I bought mine on boxing day for 188+tx $ canadian ... a steal. Sure blu ray disks are more expensive than regular dvd's, but I don't buy any new releases the day they come out anyways. Dvd

  • Re: Beocenter 2 - i need more than one 'AUX IN' connections
I agree about it being a hidden product... Whilst I am sure you would do a great "Scandinavian" design on a table top version Steve, you are still going to see lots of cables running out the back of it and I need to see less cables rather than more, so if I could hide it in my existing unit (the Beosystem 2

I have one of those and absolutely hate it , though it does the job. Anyone thought of an autoswitching aux hub yet ? I have one of those for my hdmi connections and works fab.
