So a 18V transformer secondary sounds about right. After the rectification, the 7812 needs at least 3-4 volts headroom to do its

B&O themselves should be doing something like that! Wireless link speakers have probably been on the wish list of many, but a portable one is a fun idea Wonder how it would look if you placed the Wireless upright between the horns? Might be a little more compact, but if it is higher than the free space, it might just look silly...

As merely an interested bystander... when you are talking about 'subnets' do you mean simply two separate WiFi networks, or subnets in the proper TCP/IP sense? If just the former, I'd recommend picking another term for it, as they are completely different things, which might create confusion down the road...

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I believe efforts like this are best spent on parts that can't be bought anymore. No matter how good your repros might be, they will only lower the resale value as long as Beosounds with original parts are available everywhere.

Yes, I hate having stuff laying open waiting for parts as well! But, if you are not going to use some megaexpensive audiophile caps, you might just order all the values you find in the different sources, one of the sets should match. The variation seems to be in the smaller, cheap sizes so you wouldn't be wasting a lot of money.
