Hi: Thanks, its not the understanding of the hacks that is a problem - I am quite technically minded it is just that if I bought a TEAC or Marantz oe something expensive and then I bugger about unlocking it and they then turn around and say "you have invalidated your warranty". I don't know if that holds sway anymore - I mean I have a

Hi: In which case, dos anyone know of a player (new) that would do the system justice? Prefereably muti-region or one that I can hack without a degree in electronic engineering. Thanks Graham

Hi: I am looking at getting a DVD1 to go with my Avant but was wondering if it is beset with the same problems as early DVD players - namely not being multi region and not being able to play DVD-R CD-R etc. If not multi-region, is there a hack that will definitely work to make it so? Thanks Graham

Hi I have a 28" widescreen Avant with a VHS which I thought was made in 1994 hence the roman numerals on the back. However, I looked on the product catologue on this site and unless I am not looking properly there is no reference to the Avant until late ninieties, early 2000s Thus how do I figure out how old mine is. Hi: Does anyone know anyone that can repair Laserdisc players in the UK and will not take the absolute **** with the price. I think mine is more in need of a service than a repair but would rather get it sorted now before it becomes damaging to use it. It is not worth buying another one on Ebay as this one was quite expensive and this I would prefer

Asked him which and he responded with what now appears to be Bose. Oh well. I am in a bit of an unfortunate position in as much as I am trying to not waste money

The details I have on this are sketchy: acoustimass speaker system L+R o/p to cube speakers and L+R i/p from amp 100w 4 ohms All I know so far is that it is broken. Apparently it is marked B&O, if so would it be worth repair and what is it? Thanks Graham

I was hoping that there were a range of B&O lights/lamps loads of brushed aliminium etc and that you could just dim or switch these on with the remote but this is a system that I could not implement at the moment because I live in rented accommodation and I am sure that my landlord would not want me messing around with light switches etc. I am really

Hi: My Dad remembers a high end audio player from the 70s or 80s that he thinks was b&o. He described it as like a dart board cupboard. You would press a button and then speakers would fold out like cupboard doors. I can't see this as being possible. I am assuming given the age that a record player would be the main source but could this be
