  • Beolab 8000 has died!

I have just noticed that one of my beolab 8000's has died. It must have been within the last week. Basicallly it is now totally dead. No led on the front, nothing. I tried swapping the mains cables from one to the other and it makes no difference. Is there a common fault with these or does anyone have any ideas.

  • Beocord 5000 user manual

I have just discovered a user manual (minty as well) for the 70's Beocord 5000 hidden away in a box. As I dont have one and am a kindly soul I was wondering if any one who has a Beocord 5000 wants it. Also I see that there isn't one on the site so it could be uploaded for future reference. If you need it PM me and it can be yours. Feel free

  • Renewing Capacitors

I am thinking of renewing the capacitors in some of my speakers but have never done this before. How hard is it to do. I am quite handy with my hands but must admit that soldering is not something that I have had much experience with. Is it advisable for me to attempt it or is it best left to some one with experience.

  • CDX sounds great.

I have a BM6000 (80's one) BC8004 and a pair of S80.2s which I have refoamed and have loved listening to it. I got hold of a CDX today and it has impressed me immensely. I have in the past had a CD5500 connected to the Beomaster but it was nothing compared to the CDX. It just sounds so warm and the bass seems so much nicer. I can see why lots of

  • Re: Question about the Prize Draw

Its the same as any competition you see advertised. They all state "no purchase necessary" and you can enter by posting in your name and address. If you want to enter this way it has to be by signed for mail every month so it is cheaper to just join as a gold member.
