  • Re: BV7-40 mark ii versus BV7-40 mark iii

thorne: I have the mark ii and unless you are looking at the screen full-on, the picture is washed out. Is the mark iii any better or is this a basic fault in LCD TVs? Due to the way LCd is manufactured none of them handle off axis viewing very well. You willhave to wait for Sharp mid next year to come up with a panel that due to its modified array

soundproof: The search function here on BW is quite nice. Try entering: service menu Since it's not recommended to make changes in that, most people are reluctant to state the service menu access code out in the open. But it's there. One thing BnO is extremely good at is ensuring that the baseline settings on their vision products are as good

The Beonic Man: My thoughts exactly Terry. For me money is an object and, out of principle, I would not pay that amount for a BV9 (or any other make of) television in the first place. However, it does produce a very good picture although with the rate at which panels are changing and becoming better and better all the time I am sure it will be obselete

  • Re: BeoVision 7-40 Mark III - Customer Review

moxxey: 335f, yes that's an option. Another option is simply something like a Kuro plus B&O speakers. Is it possible to connect B&O active speakers to a Pioneer or Panasonic TV (without the BS3)? Well anything is possible - you could buy a preamp ect-to preserve your B&O system you really need BS3, actually quite difficult to use the

moxxey: Hi Simon, CRT is a step back for me, whatever the picture quality. Also, you can't have HD on the Avant and there are no HD sockets, components and so on. It's not an option for me, particularly for the future. I'm considering the Kuro, but there are benefits I'd miss with my B&O equipment - the ability to masterlink components

Bingo: Nothing beats the full HD Kuro. Look at the pictures of freeview. I am sure B&O does not scale up that good!!! http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Pioneer-PDP-LX508D What you see here are pictures of standard definition scaled up by the Kuro. Look and be blown away!! Standard Definition If you're dropping more than £3,000 on the Pioneer PDP

The Beonic Man: Jean, you have hit the nail on the head. I think you are absolutly right about this. I have come to exactly the same conclusion myself. I think the BeoVision 7-40 Mark III is indeed a very good television and with the best quality digital broadcasts it does produce incredible pictures. I have seen this occasionally, which is good because

Beolab: 355f you miss understand with purpose as usually! Read again! I said: with the ISF Pioneer picture in my mind i can tell that the standard B&o calibration settings are very similar to the ISF calibration PAL standard right out of the box... They have a complete different picture i meant just the picture settings was similar!!!!!!!!!!!!!
