On closer inspection it's actually a 6 pin DIN with the 6th pin located in the middle of the socket. The pin pattern is in a sort of face shaped pattern (but only if your face is as ugly as mine!) This make me suspect Peter has the correct theory ! Cheers Nigel

I've just noticed at the back of a BM 7000 I'm going to put on ebay, an extra socket...... It's on the end of about an inch and a half of cable that comes out of a gap just above the main bank of sockets. It looks like a 7 pin input socket. I don't know if it's a Heath Robinson job or it was actually made like that. I can't see

If it's a Beocom 2, fairly painful, I would have thought..... Sorry, couldn't resist it....... Hope you get a sensible answer soon, although it would appear we all need to go back to school... Cheers Nigel

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the above (if such a thing exists) so I can connect a Beocord 6500 to a non B&O amp with phono RCA sockets ? Cheers Nigel

I've posted this in the General forum rather than the Workbench forum just to get a sounding off everyone.... My eyes have been opened by venturing onto You tube for the first time and it got me thinking..........would it be possible to have a facility to be able to show short, probably highly edited, video clips showing how to do certain tasks

I think one forum for all discontinued items is far too general. I understand the desire to "tidy things up" but I certainly dipped into the old forum on a regular basis as I love these systems. I'm not going into the new vintage one nearly as often because I'm a lazy so and so and can't be bothered to wade through the other stuff
