The Beo4 is the correct remote. You use the >> and << keys to go up and down the menu and the ^ key to go through the options. Press GO to exit once you have set it as you wish. What is yours doing?

You can, but you need pre-amp level rather than amplified or you may be able to use Tape out through a Beolink converter. The Avant does have a number of inputs - the user manual is on site for silver and gold members but at least part of it should be on the official B&O site as well.

What buttons are in the top sector? The one I have in front of me (an oldish one!) has TV,Light.Radio, then Sat, DVD, CD and finally V.Tape, Record, A.Tape. What do yours have?

You can adjust these - a small 'reshaping' could work as well! I am sure there are spare parts around though whether B&O have any is doubtful.

I have very few TV manuals I am afraid and no new ones. B&O in their wisdom started introducing manuals where only module replacements were noted and the full circuit diagrams were not shown. Having said that, there is a circuit diagram on site for the MX7000 - though it appears limited and may not be very helpful. There does appear to be a fuse

I bought mine for £100 - someone contacted me about it and neither of us knew exactly what it was. I was looking for the Thorens model at the time. We decided it might have been a prototype so I made him an offer which he accepted! Ronny Mortensen at Struer told me what I had and sent me the service manual, which is on site.

Which Beocord 5000? I am sure I cannot help (not very technical) but someone may, so the Type number is useful.

My SP8-9 is gold but I have a feeling that it came with another name on the packaging. As to a price on eBay, I have never seen an Acoustical 3000 on eBay!
