Yikes It might sound great but sure ain't good design. Only redeeming factor would be the use of wood....something we probably will see more of in the future. (are you listening B&O ?) I love original design, but (personal opinion, so please take no offense.) honestly, this one looks like a tree trunk with a cd player some nobs and a display
Do you mean home cinema i.e. surround sound or just duplicating the RL140 channels in the RL60 rears? The 5000 won't do surround.
Indeed the 5000 is a 2ch. amp. It would give you only the L+R front speakers. I use an AV7000 but I guess you won't find any of those in the UK....

Tempting... even for me, to have one of those one day. I am glad a true enthousiast like yourself took the time and effort to bring this piece back to life

Just to add one more note. I used to have a pair of RL60's with failing drivers and ABR's that I completely renovated. Refoaming the drivers is always best done in pairs (left and right) as slight variations in sound occur otherwise. I also suggest changing the capacitors in the cross-overs like mentioned in this thread before... really livens

I love the white frets, so I am wondering how my cx's would look like with wite cloth frets... ....must try that one .... My current surround setup is a AV7000 in the tv area with 5 cx's , though front ones in black and the surround ones in white. I love my polished ones so much that I am going to change the front black ones with the polished
