Im having problems with a CD 7000 I have. It wont play any cds. I've opened it up (because its easier to see whats happening) and discovered the following. If there is no cd in the tray it seems to be fine, the laser moves over and tries to focus and you can see the light from the laser and the motor spins. Basically it does all the things it should

I am sure that this is a dilema which many of us face with B&O equippment. I currently have a BM6000 connected up to a CDX playing through a pair of S80.2's in my bedroom (It makes a lovley clock radio!) and it sounds great. The BM6000 is in perfect working order. I had a BM4500 with the RIAA module but can not tell you any more than that. All I know is that it cost £15 extra when new!

They would connect but they have speaker link not powerlink do you would need an adaptor. it would be better to get penta 2 or 3's for ease of connection and lack of foam rot. The penta 1's midrange are very prone and there are four on each. Not to hard to do or replace though.

Penta 1's so no powerlink and more than likely foam rot as well. Still pentas though so great speakers.
