Thanks Steve/Jeff Sounds like I'm not the only one who's a fan then! Really pleased with mine. Maybe I need a white key version as well!!

Actually Mika's post made me remember to point out that mine has the optional stereo decoder fitted. Wonder if it has two RIAA pre-amps?? Thinking about the BV1000s too, I probably won't bother as I really like CX50s!

I have some BV1000s but they are used with the BM900M in my girlfriend's office....one day I might have to snatch them back to try them out :)

Got a black-key 1000 the other day for the collection, and was really planning on just using it to listen to the Today Programme and PM in the office on FM. Not got enough room for a separate set of speakers, so have just bought a speaker switch so I can flick between the

It's black Craig - I would have prefered a white keyed one but for £25 beggars can't be choosers :)

Thanks Peter - I'm currently using the tape in on the 5000 to hook the Airport Express in. Will the line out still work, or would I be better swapping the Airport over to something like the Aux in?

Thanks Jeff! I might take a look. One other question. I have an input from my Airport Express running into an adjacent Beolab 5000 amp. Is there a 5 pin DIN output on the 5000 amp that I could use to connect the 5000 and the 1000 together, so that the 1000 can take the feed from the 3.5mm to 5 pin DIN jack that's connected to the 5000 - if that
