By the way Peter; what happened to those scans I sent you (I BELIEVE I sent some weeks ago ) of the Beocenter 1400 user manual? At least I couldn't find them from the manuals section.

Hmm. I checked the sourcecode of the page - it seems to be Java or javasrcipt. If you have an old Java installed? Or if Java and the javascripts have been disabled? It's on the preferences' security tab. Nice machine otherwise than quite slow (400 Mhz) for some tasks - which colour you have: mine is lime.

Removing the face plate is not necessary to clean the switches. You can first try to spray them with contact cleaner from the back (of the switch). First you have to take off the wooden top and side -plate - there are four screws on the bottom sides and two on the rear (just next to the grill) The diagram on the bottom should help you on this. Hi! I tried to answer yesterday but Beoworld was not working and I couldn't. I have the older Beocord 5000 - if you don't need the manual I could offer it a new home. Do you wan't some monet out of it or the postage costs? And yes: I have a scanner and I can scan it for BeoWorld if wanted!
