As far as I recall, the RL1000 was a bookshelf speaker and never designed to be wall or ceiling hung. To my knowledge there never were any wall brackets designed by B&O although I did once have a pair that had been modified to accept home made wall brackets.

The price when new is totally irrelevant. If you could still buy them new, your arguement makes sense.
