  • Re: a Real AppleTV

Agreed - the programming capabilities are enormous. I can set it to record a complete series of a certain program, record any programs to do with anything about F.E. Thumbs (they're usually Quite Interesting) and it'll be automatically recorded and exported into iTunes so it's available on my iPod + Apple TV. Very clever.

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Big Bonobo fan right here! Days To Come is in my top 15 albums in my collection. Currently listening to Suntoucher by Groove Armada.

  • Re: Embarrasing, but essential.

I was listening to the Elbow album The Seldom Seen Kid in school the other day, and one person asked "why do you only listen to old weird music?" I suppose unless it's the latest Timbaland song, it sounds old to most people my age.

  • Re: BeoMaster 5 Hardware specs

Exactly, not one built into the motherboard. On top of this, there are very few companies actually manufacturing microchips, I expect you'd find a surprising number of high-end companies all share very very similar components. For example, Naim have been known to use Burr-Brown converts, but what really makes the difference is how it's implemented

  • Re: iTunes Store UK HD TV Shows

All well and good but I wouldn't be surprised if season 6 was out before I could finish downloading season 5 - running at 0.2mbit here today!

Clakke's got it spot on with the 8000 - I was never quite sure what all the fuss was about, but actually, it's simply the perfect blend of function, form, and build. While the way it performs and looks is not to my personal taste, there is no doubt that it is a stunningly good looking speaker and it does sound very good indeed.

You'll understand what the BeoSound 5 is about once you've used one - it's not something which can easily be explained in text...

  • Re: Switching all Beolink products on

The Beo5 and A9 won't be able to do this. In fact I believe there is no way to do this at present. May I ask why you wish to switch all products in the link system on? There may be some other alternative solution...

  • Re: MOTS experience

I see your point, but I've never actually found the BeoSound 5 to show any signs of 'slowness'. In fact I've found it to be absolutely seamless. I was initially referring more to the idea of MOTS running on an ordinary desktop PC, which I don't think is going to become a reality any time soon!
