A valid point Lee but as you already know ... I am the type that favours the Porsche over the Ferrari. A Ferrari looks great on the outside but the inside doesn't match the outside. I love Porsche beause every part of it is refined, unlike the Ferrari. Could we say the same about a BV9? The Porsche Carera (only referring to this model) is built

http://www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtv-plasmavslcd.shtml A superb article; the most up to date I can find on this continuing debate between the two competing technologies. A plethora of information available on the rest of the site. Enjoy... Simon.

I agree, it is just a TV at the end of the day and I would not be able to jutify spending that amount on a television. But then I live by my own set of prinicples which are undoubtedly different from others. I thought exactly the same about the high price tag of £13,000 when the BV5 was released although I do pick up on the excellent and very

Perhaps I am biased because I don't like it but isn't it just a reasonably up to date Panasonic TV screen with a BeoSystem 3? I am not sure where the value for money bit comes in? I guess things are slightly different when you reach

Cheers Andy, it was really nice to read your comment, thanks. Its great to be back. If I can be completly honest, I wrote to Lee recently and said I had made a mistake in

Well first off, a very happy and healthy new year to you all... have a great 2009! I know there have been a number of posts on Beoworld about the various formats to choose when ripping music from CD. I just wondered if any particular format was favoured as I am now in the process of converting my entire CD collection (and that of my family) onto our

Not sure why you are seeing grey bars, particularly on a plasma set that usually produces perfect blacks. Could this be more of an issue withe format recorded on the DVD you are trying to watch? Have you tried a more recent 4:3 film to see if you get the same problem? I don't think you can change the colours of the bars other than play around with
