They are S60s I think. The other recommended speakers for this system were the wall mounted panel speakers, the P50s. M70s were another if rather expensive option. I used a variety with mine - S45-2s are compact and good and I did use S60s and S75s for a while.

Your English is fine - welcome to Beoworld. The remote facility of the 6500 is all built into the Beomaster I am afraid. Any later Beomaster with Datalink will work though.

Very expensive! You can get a working one for about $200 or probably less in the UK. It is under receivers in the listings. Try here . This is a development of the 1900 and later was developed into the 4500. I would consider replacing it with a 3000 which is essentially the same but adds remote control to the party.

I would consider some Redline speakers - quite efficient and have similar modern design rather than just a square box.

Attach it to Tape 2 but it won't be remote control.

I agree - very tactile - but a bit fragile and the screen can mark. The Serenata is also very nice to hold but I would never use it as a music system.

Getting the Audio system working is no problem - he can always fit a Beolink Passive and use Bose speakers if he wants. Integrating with the non-B&O TVs is always trickier and without knowing exactly what he has and what he wants to do makes advising tricky. The Wireless will work OK though it doesn't send picture signals.

Bad luck. I have not changed mine though to get the SIM card in you have to take it apart so it doesn't seem that tricky! However that is just one side and if the other is damaged it could be trickier. I'd send it away - it will return like new.

The CD is very similar to that in the BC9500. Have you checked the DIN plug?
