Sorry - my fault - Ridax is a member of the site but also makes a number of Beo4 controllers for PCs and iPods - see here . The Beolink converter would allow you to connect a master device to an ML set up - for instance a Beosystem 7000 to a BV7, but not an isolated Beogram, as far as I know.

Medogsfat: Agreed Peter - the BL7000 is easier but will be expensive. The Beomaster 6500 is the same as the 7000 regarding the functions and only the 5500 has the loudness cancelling problems. It is essentially exactly the same as the 8000 but has black keys and a MMC20EN cartridge as standard. It may well need a new tacho disc as this should be celluloid.

I thought most had captive cables - the record player and Tape certainly do. The CD on mine has a captive cable as well . 7 pin DIN if needed is what you will want.

Which Beomaster 6000? If the quad one, there is a power switch on the very back.

There is a CD/Tape adapter which allows you to double up with the tape socket. Not convinced I would wall mount the 2400 - the insides are fairly packed and putting screws through the base could be marginal. They did originally come with legs that allowed you to tip the receiver forward. Very rare to find a full set these days!
