  • Re: Beogram 6006

I prefer the 6002 to the later tangential decks - I think the bass is better and the arm mechanism is more aesthetically pleasing in operation! Performance figures would suggest I am wrong though!

  • Re: Beogram 6006

Totally different! The 6006 is just a rebadged 8000. The 6002 is completely different except for the fact it looks the same! It has a belt drive instead of tangential drive, and the record detection system is far simpler. It is far more like the 4002 than the 6006. It also has the later cartridge mounting - it comes with the MMC3 as standard. It also

  • Re: mx 5500

Sounds like dodgy solder connection - it will expand as the set warms up.

  • Re: Ripserver-What do you Think?

Looks easy to use but I would consider ripping to lossless now that storage is so cheap. This defaults to 320 MP3 which is fine (and actually what I use!) but if starting again, I would go lossless. If you don't want to go wireless, an external large HDD would seem the way to go - you can rip via one computer and then attach it to the Mac Mini.

  • Re: Range Beolink 7000

I agree completely. I now use my iPod Touch as a remote to control my music files - not unlike a BL7000 in some ways!

  • Re: New B&O Alarm Clock

At a guess, and that is all it is, it will be a promotional item with B&O written on it.

Mine (also a 1540) seems further - not really found a limit as such. Actually can be a slight pain with link rooms when doors left open! Maybe 3 m is not so bad!

  • Re: Controlling Beomaster 7000 with MCP5000???

Different codes I am afraid. A MCP5500 will work.

  • Re: Speaker Calibration

Advisable - well probably. If one speakers unit has failed, I suppose one has to wonder why and is the same likely to happen to the other. The century has active speakers and the amplifier and speaker are matched. There is usually a setting marked on the speaker which can be set on the amplifier but this is not usually very complicated! Having said

  • Re: Beosystem 3300 - questions and advice please (also, hello from a new member!)

Very interesting system, the 3300. I can be regarded as a transitional system between the 3000 and the 4500. It comes with its own remote , like that produced for the 3000, but unlike that model, the codes had been changed and it will work well with a Beolink 1000. These are a much more common remote and far superior. The next bit of good news is that
