That's a valid point about an HDMI connection being necessary for upscaling. Still, my main point was that I have never been satisfied with the quality of a BC2 connected to a Beosystem 1 via s-video connection. I find the image to be much better when a dvd is ripped into iTunes via Handbrake and played on the Apple TV. This is quite unfortunate

You might consider a Mac Mini. This would fit all of your needs and much more. The apple remote code is in the current B&O PUCs. The Frontrow interface is very nice and includes a dvd player. You can also rip your dvd collection onto a hard drive (internal or external) and the dvds appear in frontrow with the very same menus as when using the physical

While acoustically I prefer the BL4000 speakers, I agree that the BL6000 speakers are sufficient for the rear channels. The BL6000 speakers are easier to place and virtually disappear in the room. FYI: If you should ever choose to wall-mount your BL4000 speakers, I highly recommend buying a second pair of powerlink cables and leaving the existing powerlink

In addition to white, red and polished aluminum will be added to the Beocom 2 color palette. I'm rather excited about the red! I'm skeptical of the polished surface for a phone, though. I would expect a lot of fingerprints

I have the Excel file with the supported device list for the latest Beosystem 1/ Avant software. IM me with your email address and I will be happy to send it to you.

Absolutely beautiful. That is clearly a design by Arne Jacobsen and manufactured by Stelton. There should be a Stelton stamp on the bottom. There are matching coffee pitchers, tea pots, salt and pepper shakers, and bar ware from the same "cylinda" line.

In light of Keith's new 3rd party IR software for the Beo5, I wanted to bump this thread up in hopes that someone might be able to discover the "REG1" and "REG2" codes.

From what I've found on the internet, it seems that you might be right about the analog/digital issue, Frog. Fortunately, I have a converter box that I can use. Are these dvi cards easy to install by a layman? Do you know what the cost is for such a card?
