Thanks a lot for your response 'bayerische'. You're correct, it is available as a part and to my surprise only 20 Euros. It's quite a heavy unit with a large magnet so the price came as a pleasant surprise. I should have checked before I posted, but the blown speaker came as a bit of a shock to me. As I am about 100 km from my dealer

In another posting I have asked about distorted sound from my Beovision 3. I have now discovered that the right mid-range speaker has blown - literally! There is a tear in the cone. I can attempt a repair on the cone or replace the speaker. If the latter, does anyone know if I can obtain another speaker of the same size? Thanks.

I have Beovision 3 and whilst watching the movie 'The DaVinci Code' on TV last night it was completely spoiled by an appalling distorted noise from, in particular, the right hand mid-range speaker in the set. It sounded like the effect you get from a speaker that has 'blown' and affected the music, which runs throughout the film, and

Great news I suppose if you think the Beo5 is a good product, but wouldn't it be better if B&O just adopted the 'application' facility similar to that available on the iPod Touch & iPhone?

How about a poll asking what has been the most pointless question in recent years?

It sounds like I'm trying to be really bitchy here and believe me I'm not, but further comment is necessary on the speaker positioning in relation to all the seating. From whichever position is selected it will be impossible to succeed in achieving a good listening angle from both speakers. And this can only effect the resultant listening experience
