If sound quality is your priority, I would go for BeoSound 2; however, BeoSound 6 in comparison is a real bargain, since it offers, twice the storage capacity (4 Gb instead of 2), can playback MP3 and WMA files at higher bitrates, has more than twice the playback time (40 hours), comes with a display with cover art, and has all connections via a single

Once again, I don't understand why B&O took so long to release this new Masterlink cable, since BeoCenter 2's "special cable" between master and socket units brings all we have been asking B&O for years : digital audio, video, data and infra-red signals, and all that since 2004... Why they came out with a 3 wire solution on

Going back to the original topic, the Serenata is not under the "phone" section of B&O's website, but among the "audio" products..

Hi, I think this picture is less blurry..However, I'm not sure I like the design, it looks a bit conventional & handset seems very "plasticky", however the features could make me replace my BeoCom 4..wait and see!

David, You're not the only one to feel that B&O are ignoring us, below is a reply just received from them about BeoPort/BM-Link, basically I was asking them why the 2 softwares were so different & when we could get the features of BM-Link on BeoPort (namely the full track-artist-album-radio station tag display on B&O systems) & vice

Hi, Most obvious reason: your BeoSound 1 is set to option 0 = the IR receiver is turned off. To activate the IR , stand in front of your BeoSound 1 while in stand-by, press "std-by + list" at the same time on your Beo4, then press "list" until your reach "option", then press "go", then go to "A.OPT"

difficult choice indeed, since the BeoLab 2500 will be better looking with the BeoSound you have, they were designed to complement each other; however, having owned both, I find the Lab 4 much more dynamic, alive, with deeper bass and crisper treble, and they also have much more placement options, not to mention the power consumption!
-
To be quite frank, I don't think B&O are the ones to blame for not updating the IR codes from other manufacturers, I think the manufacturers themselves should be blamed for changing everything twice a year! And they should follow B&O strategy, which makes it possible to re-assign the PHONO source to make it become N.RADIO, for instance.

Hi, congratulations on winning a Serenata, I own one and tend to agree with you, everybody wants an Iphone, and since I don't like being "anybody"... Usually, when listening to music when a call comes in, you'll hear the ringtone via the Earset 3 and will be able to reply either by pressing the knob on the earset or the conventional

I have a Serenata that I use as a phone for work, and as a portable music player on weekends at the beach, and believe me or not, the phone is very robust, because I work on ships & not in a top clean office, it has to deal with dust, dirt, grease, heat & cold, and after one year it still looks like new. The music player is really the great
