Just checked the price at one of our major stores here in the USA. The latest 55 inch 240 HZ Samsung has a suggested price of $5999 compared to a BV7-55 at something like $12,000 without the BluRay. So, for twice the price of the Samsung marvel one can get the Samsung panel with all of B and O's extras. Farewell Austerity Thread and myths of B and

[quote user="ed7"] [quote user="chris"] A £2,000 Beovision 8-26 with an LCD panel from Sharp!, put together in the Czech Republic!, or a £1,200 LED LCD Samsung 200Hz with 3D. ummmm I will shortly be needing a bigger TV and am still racking my brains as to what to get. Having had B&O TV's in the family for nearly

If the Volkswagen you are referring to is the Phaeton which is built on the same frame in the same factory as certain Bentleys, yes. A Phaeton was the best car I have ever owned. However, if you think a Bentley Continental or Flying Spur is "tarted" your taste or definition of the word is far different than mine. Different tastes are a wonderful

Are you saying that those of us who enjoy, appreciate and buy current B and O products are fools?

We have a 7-55 and one month old 10-40. I see you are in the USA as I am. The 10-46 is just a bit more than 1/2 the price of a 7-55 with motorized stand, BluRay, and a center speaker, if I remember correctly. The picture quality is stunning on both. sometimes I prefer our 7-55, sometimes the 10-40. The center channel sound from the 7-4 on our 7-55 is

If I am remembering correctly, when we purchased our 7-55 the BluRay option was either $1200 or $1500.

The new Beo 4 that we bought with our BV 10 has "game" as one of the functions that can be added under "list". Maybe that would work.

We chose to skip the built in player and use an external one and are very happy with the choice. I would say, however, that the built in player's curved door/cover seems to fit nicely over a Beolab 7-4 and arguably looks better, in my opinion.
