Still no sound? I have seen this before on a MCL2P amp. The 9000 cannot "see" your amplifier and therefore will not swich the speaker feed on.There is a relay in the ML/MCL amp which is faulty and not telling the 9000 that you have speakers connected. In "normal" use this is not a problem but in your case it causes the symptoms you

I have used the tape and confirm that it is sticky enough for the job at hand. However, I believe that it is too thick, resulting in a glass panel that sits slightly too proud of the plastic frame. Only marginal but enough to offend my eye.
