Merry Christmas from Amsterdam and a cry for help from The Netherlands. We are snowing in and our country is running out of salt! Help us! The trains are all messed up. The roads slippery. We can't handle this type of weather. Could some scandinavians come over and show our country how you people up north handle

Wow! It's nice to see this thread, originally posted as a thinly veiled "entrapment" device to try to attract new Wednesdayers©, is actually attracting those in the festive spirit! I will be celebrating both the Eve (birthday) and the Day itself (still got kids at home) - can I take this opportunity to wish everyone, friends and foe
I totally agree with everything that Dude1 is saying. What i'm finding amusing is people are defending this product because it is 'entry level'. Entry level at £900!!! Entry level at £250 maybe. The joke is £900 in the UK would actually buy a top quality seperates system with proper speakers
I have a few of those CDs!
Some chart CD's are definitely made using the non-concentric centre hole method............how else could they sound like that?!
B&O have already developed two 3D TV's. 80 Inch and 103 inch - as I understand it they won't be doing any smaller models as the effect is lost on smaller screen sizes.
To be fair, I suspect that Panasonic actually developed the 3DTV that B&O are using as the basis for their new 3DTV's.

One of the reasons B&O will be having the BS8 made in China will be the availability of companies to do it.
I first misread your sentence above - and in that incorrect form it gave another reason: availability of components . Industries like mobile phones are now ramping

I can think of two good reasons not to buy product made , or containing components made in China - 1. In protest against human rights issues, 2. A firm belief that Europe (& the US) must hang on to manufacturing industry because ultimately it is a (or the ) significant wealth producing mechanism for the country's economy. Both are defendable
I can hardly believe the arrogance in some of the posts above. The Chinese are very capable craftsmen, in fact it's hard to find such quality manuacturing in Europe these days. And yes, cheap too. Because they get no vacation, and are willing to work hard for little money. Manufacturing in China "easily outperformes"
I must confess that although I like the thought of all B&O being made in Struer , the reality has long been that large parts of the products have been bought in and only the final assembly has been in Denmark. All TVs have long been made from Far Eastern parts, much of the electronics are assembled in China, and very

Two words: DLNA Compliant. (Well, one acronym and one word)
What is the significance of that?
DLNA is a non-company specific standard that allows compatible devices to communicate and pass data and media between themselves, media servers and internet based sources
